Blacklisted by EU Pucila has become Supreme Court’s judge

The “parliamentarians” have approved the appointment of Aliaksandr Pautau and Uladzimir Pucila as judges of the Supreme Court.

The decision was taken at the closing sitting of the Council of Republic’s second session, belta.by reports.

Introducing the candidacies of Aliaksandr Pautau and Uladzimir Pucila (in the picture), the chairman of the Supreme Court Valancin Sukala characterized the new judges as experienced specialists, who, in his belief, would be able to effectively carry out their duties.

There are altogether 30 issues on the agenda of the Council of Republic today’s session. The chairman of the parliament Anatol Rubinau will address the MPs with a closing speech.

We would remind that from 27 February 2012 Uladzimir Pucila has been included in the list of Belarusian officials, who are forbidden to enter the EU countries. He repeatedly passed politically motivated judgements against the activists of opposition.
