Man beaten into coma by security guard at Volgograd supermarket

57

A Minsk resident has been in a coma for more than two weeks after a conflict with a security guard at a store.

The sister of the victim spreads posters in Minsk looking for eyewitnesses of the incident.

The ad reads that the tragedy took place at the entrance to Volgograd supermarket at 18:00 on June 30.

“A young man was brutally beaten by a security guard on the steps of the supermarket. He received many injuries and was taken away by an ambulance. The young man is in critical condition – he is in second degree coma. He is on mechanical ventilation. Doctors says his chances to recover are one to million. His wife, six-month daughter, mother and sister are waiting for him at home. Need eyewitnesses to help investigators to find the criminal. If you saw the incident, please contact me on phone 8-029-186-56-67,” the victim's sister writes.

A criminal case over article 155 of the Criminal Code (causing grievous or less grievous bodily harm by negligence) was initiated on July 15.
