Minsk official imprisoned for 9 years for bribery

Minsk Moscow District Court has returned him guilty of corruption.

He took bribes worth 440 million roubles. The investigation Committee told BelTA. He agreed to receive an additional 20% from every contract with Solidate company in spring 2010.

The corrupt official accepted bribes for supplies of construction materials for the children’s hospital in Baraulyany, the sports complex in Salihorsk, hostel in Zaslauye and even reconstruction of the building used by Minsk District and Zaslauye Court.

He has been imprisoned for 9 years and his property will be confiscated. He will not be allowed to occupy official positions and do business for 5 years.
