Vital Rymasheuski: Makej is accomplice to all regime’s crimes

There were no reasons for excluding Makej from EU’s black list, the politician believes.

A co-chairman of the organizational committee for the creation of a party Belarusian Christian Democracy Vital Rymasheuski believes that not only Makej should not go to Brussels or Vilnius, he should not be in Europe at all.

“There were no reasons for excluding Makej from EU’s black list. He is responsible for human rights violations and everything, what took place in Belarus on 19 December 2010, he is an accomplice to all the crimes, committed by the regime then and those being committed now against the political prisoners. Another person could have played the role of a communicator with the EU”, - he claimed speaking with a Tovarishch.online web-site’s reporter.

As to Makej’s visit to Vilnius, Rymasheuski suggests another format of Belarus’ participation in the summit.

“First of all, negotiations are now being held that representatives of opposition took part in its work. It is an important forum for communicating the information on what is going on in Belarus. Secondly, if Makej is very interested in the business dimension, let’s talk about the economic rights of Belarusians there: about the introduction of the Golden Share, about the pressure on entrepreneurs and business, about privatization in general and the current privatization of state-owned apartments in particular. Economic cooperation is understood by them as the cooperation between Europe and the pro-government oligarchs. Let’s invite normal private business there!”, - the former presidential candidate said.

The politician believes that “Belarus should be represented at the forum, but not by Makej”.

We would remind that on 22 July Uladzimir Makej took part in the meeting of the heads of MFAs of Eastern Partnership countries. EU’s sanctions against the Belarusian Foreign Minister have recently been suspended. International Federation for Human Rights in Brussels held protest actions on his arrival.
