Film about Belarus Free Theatre to be shown at Toronto festival

A film about an underground theatre from Belarus was made by Madeleine Sackler, a 2010 Oscar nominee.

Director of the Belarus Free Theatre Mikalai Khalezin shared the news on Facebook.

“Now I can say it,” he wrote on his Facebook account. “The documentary Unstable Elements will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, one of the world's biggest film festivals, in early September. It is a documentary about the Belarus Free Theatre. Director Madeleine Sackler, a 2010 Oscar nominee, has been shooting the movie for the last two years.”

It is now being discussed which theatre and movie stars will represent the documentary in Toronto. The film will be screened in the TIFF Docs programme.
