Harvest festival at expense of pensioners (Video)

The municipal authorities of Zhlobin make pensioners paint the facades of their houses and build new fences.

Zhlobin is getting prepared for the harvest festival Dazhynki, Radio Svaboda reports.

The sum of one trillion Belarusian rubles, or 112 million dollars, was allocated for the preparations.

People living in own houses in the streets close to the centre of festivities have been hit by the repair turmoil.

The municipal authorities make people paint the facades of their houses in light colours, wash roofs and install new fences at their own expense.
