Byfly blocks Charter'97 for corporate clients

A state-owned internet service provider violates the laws and regulations taken by the authorities.

Charter97.org received information this morning that the state ISP Beltelecom (trademark byfly) blocked the website charter97.org for corporate clients.

Besides government agencies and organisations that haven't have access to the site for the second year on the decision of the Prosecutor General's Office in compliance with Decree No. 60, the blocking also targets private companies. The measure violates even the stupid rules and law adopted by the authorities in the last three years.

Beltelecom's press service told a correspondent of charter97.org that they “have no relation to the incident” and recommended to “send an official request”.

To facilitate bureaucratic procedures we inform that if the Beltelecom management continues to violate the law, we reserve the right to appeal to relative international and human rights organisations asking to assess the actions of the state monopoly.
