"Ecomedservice" director released under a non-leave obligation

25-year-old inhabitant of Hrodna Julia Kubarava died on April 23 in Minsk city hospital No. 4. Four weeks before this she did a rhinoplasty in the commercial center Ecomedservice. The woman stayed in coma for these four weeks.

On May 3, a criminal case has been started upon the fact of the young woman's death. 6 people were detained then: members of the surgery crew (the surgeon, the anesthesiologist and two nurses), the general director and the chief engineer of the medical center, who was responsible for the technical condition of the medical equipment. The investigation has learnt that the lung ventilation apparatus worked inappropriately for about 40 minutes, there were errors and breakage, BelaPAN informs.

The director of the medical center is charged with neglect of duty which caused a person's death due to carelessness. The anesthesiologist is charged with improper fulfillment of professional duties by a medical worker which caused a patient's death due to carelessness. He stays in custody.
