Natalia Shelieh’s counsel demands that security of her family ensured

A respective motion has been put forward.

The counsel expressed a concern over the development of the situation around the Sheliegs family. Literally in couple hours after the motion was submitted, Natalia’s father Viachaslau Shelieh was attacked. The member of the organizational committee for the creation of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy says that he “fell a victim to a policeman”, Radio Racyja reports.

“I start thinking whether I need protection from unidentified people, if I need protection from policemen. Would they protect me at least from policemen? Provocation or not, but there is some pressure being put, I think. Psychological pressure, at least”, - Viachaslau Shelieh says.

We would remind that the latest incident took place near a department of internal affairs of Babrujsk town executive committee. An entrepreneur and a member of the organizational committee for the creation of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy went there to pick up his wife, Maryja Shelieh was being interrogated on the case of the kidnapping and beating of their daughter Natalia. The entrepreneur’s spouse was summoned to the inter-district department of the Investigatory Committee, which was dealing with the scandalous case. The department is located in the building of Babrujsk’s police department.

“A policeman in mufti attacked me as I parked the car at a police parking”, - the activist claims. They admit at the police department that the incident took place, however they refuse to comment on that. Viachaslau Shelieh is waiting for the result of a medical expertise, which was meant to register the fact of the beating.
