Minsk's Tsentralny district court issued fines of 1.2 million rubles to activists of the informal National Bolshevik movement Dzmitry Paliyenka and Yauheny Kontush.
Both were found guilty of violating article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences (violating the order of organising and holding mass events), BelaPAN news agency reports.
On August 6, the activists hung out a banner “Down with army of slaves” on the fence of the Ministry of Defence and scattered leaflets explaining disadvantages of conscription and advantages of a volunteer military service.
