Vital Rymasheuski: Salaries of officials grow at expense of robbery of Belarusians

Salaries of civil servants and law-enforcement officials are growing while Lukashenka is robbing ordinary people.

Vital Rymasheuski, the co-head of the organising committee to create the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, spoke to charter97.org about an increase in salaries of government employees.

“In our country, it's hard to believe that the government staff was cut 25%. This information is not confirmed by independent sources of information. Actually, only salaries of officials grow faster than fuel prices. Wages of civil servants and law-enforcement officers are increasing while the Lukashenka regime tries to rob people with a $100 duty on shopping,” the politician underlined.

He noted that it is an absolutely ordinary thing in today's conditions.

“We have no free elections in Belarus. It means that Lukashenka depends on those rigging the election results and suppressing dissent rather than on his people. Their wages will increase at the expense of robbery of Belarusian people. The government and repressive machinery have incomes not only from the growth of official salaries, but also from corruption. Numerous prison terms for corrupted officials have the aim to distract attention of Belarusians from the real state of things,” Vital Rymasheuski is confident.

We remind that salaries for government employees increased more than 43% this month.
