Baumgertner to have televiosion in cell

Lawyers are going to visit Baumgertner today.

“We plan visit Vladislav Baumgertner in the KGB jail today,” Interfax-West news agency learnt from a lawyer.

The lawyers want to give him a television and other things and discuss a number of topics. The lawyer reminded that “lawyers cannot disclose details of the preliminary investigation”.

He said the date of hearing a request to change pre-trial restrictions was unknown yet.

Minsk's Partyzanski district court said the request had been delivered on September 3. “A judge will be appointed and the date for considering the request will be set in the nearest time,” the court informs.

Under the Criminal Procedure Code of Belarus, a court has 72 hours to consider a request to change pre-trial restrictions at a closed-door hearing.

Baumgertner was detained by Belarusian law-enforcement bodies on August 26. Uralkali CEO is charged with abuse of power and office (part 3 of article 424).
