Ivan Shyla detained for 2 days for “silent protests” held three years ago

Student Ivan Shyla, an activist from Salihorsk, went to a police station after he had received a summons.

He was detained for two days, his father Uladzimir Shyla told Nasha Niva.

It was figured out that Ivan didn't serve the full term in custody in 2011. The police reminded him about the “debt”.

The police visited Ivan Shyla's home and left a summons for him on October 1.

The flat of Ivan's parents was recently searched. The police seized a computer. The slogan “Putin is a d***head” and a white-red-white flag appeared in Salihorsk in summer.

Shyla thinks the police took these steps trying to find those responsible.

The police also detained activist of the European Belarus civil campaign Uladzimir Lemesh and searched his home.
