Verdict to Yury Rubtsou remained unchanged: 1,5 year of “chemistry”

Minsk City Court left the court decision to Homel oppositionist unchanged.

Today Minsk City Court has taken a consideration upon cassation appeal of Homel activist Yury Rubtsou against the sentence of Savetski Regional Court in Minsk dating November 6.

The sentence has been remained unchanged: a year and half of confinement at open type institution (“chemistry”), reports “Nasha Niva”.

It should be reminded that the lawsuit against Rubtsou started on August 5 when he was questioned as a suspect at Investigative Committee of Savetski Department in Minsk. The ground for accusation was the statement of Kiryl Palulekh, the judge of Savetski District, who stated that during Yury Rubtsou ministerial inquiry on April 28 the activist allegedly offered an affront to him.
