Roman Kuzniar: Participation of Poland in talks on Donbas guarantees success

Poland should participate in the talks on solving the situation in eastern Ukraine.

Prof. Roman Kuzniar, Bronislaw Komorowski's foreign policy advisor, said it in an interview with Polskie Radio.

“The participation of Poland guarantees a proper honest approach to the talks on stopping Russia's aggression in Ukraine,” he said.

Roman Kuzniar turned attention to the fact that Poland should take part in the talks that give hopes for real changes.

“Germany and Russia pretend to hold talks. It's not time for Poland to join them,” he stressed.

The politician thinks Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel does not trust Vladimir Putin any more.

“One cannot trust president Putin, because he has been demonstrating in the last few months that his tactics in relation to the EU and western countries is a lie, fake and creating double reality. He is not a serious partner for talks,” the Polish president's advisor noted. “It wasn't a surprise for me to hear critical remarks by Angela Merkel, who hoped for a long time that Russia is a partner for talks.
