Arseniy Yatsenyuk re-elected as Ukraine’s Prime Minister

Volodymyr Hroisman has become Parliamentary Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

Petro Poroshenko has signed a motion of the coalition offering Arseniy Yatsenyuk for the position of the Prime Minister. Ukraine’s President stated about that in his speech, “Ukrainskaya Pravda” informs.

341 lawmakers in the Verkhovna Rada supported election of Arseniy Yatsenyuk as the head of the government.

“Mister president, here is my hand: everything you spoke about in your address is our common responsibility,” the Prime Minister said in the parliament.

A deputy from Petro Poroshenko bloc, Volodymyr Hroisman, was elected the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. This decision was approved by 359 MPs.

Mr Hroisman was nominated for the position of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada by the factions “Petro Poroshenko Bloc”, the Radical Party, “Samopomich” (“Self-Reliance”), as well as or “Batkivshchyna” (“Fatherland”) and the People’s Front.

“The seat does not have any importance. I have walked through a certain period of time, and I was always looking in the eyes of people,” Hroisman said before the vote. “At the same time, with your trust, as the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada I will do my best for Ukraine to become a flourishing European country.”
