No official representative of Ukraine at talks in Minsk

Official representatives of the Ukrainian authorities will not attend a meeting of the trilateral contact group in Minsk.

The statement was made by Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine's ambassador at large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNIAN reports.

“The country's leadership takes responsibility for the situation. But the presence of an official representative of Ukraine [at the meeting of the trilateral contact group in Minsk] is impossible, because official representatives of the 'DNR' and 'LNR' won't come to the meeting. They couldn't be there anyway, because they represent informal structures,” he said.

According to him, a compromise date for the next meeting in Minsk to discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine could be December 11.
