Prime Minister of Poland: The EU must be ready for the third round of sanctions

Poland does not exclude the introduction of the third wave of sanctions against Russia in case of its failing of Minsk accords.

"We must be ready to take one direction in case of non-implementation of Minsk agreements and to impose the third wave of sanctions", Ewa Kopacz, the Prime Minister of Poland, stated at the meeting with Prime Ministers of Visegrád Group and Switzerland in Bratislava, zn.ua. reports with the reference to Czech edition Novinky.

According to Kopazc, the whole world must declare an extreme unacceptance of aggression concerning the territorial integrity of any country. Only after it the Russian-Ukrainian conflict can be resolved. "An annexation is not in European rules. Only a united Europe is able to become a shield in the face of conflict", the Prime Minister added.

Kopacz also noted that sanctions are the only way to influence the ongoing situation in Ukraine. Bohuslav Sobotka, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, has similar thoughts. But, nevertheless, he mentioned that it was necessary to discuss restrictive measures against Russia in the light of the national interests of each state.
