Arrests of anarchists in Minsk: Police take revenge for picket

At least four people have been detained by the police in Minsk in the last two days.

It happened after a picket against the state’s anti-social policy that was organised by anarchists on Monday, Belorusski Partizan reports.

All detained people were charged with violating article 23.4 and 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences (failure to obey a legal order of an official on duty and violation of the order of organising and holding mass events).

The detainees were sentenced to from 3 to 5 days in custody. “Activists were detained at work, in some cases with the active help of their bosses,” anarchists say.
