EU Council to approve new sanctions against Crimea

The Council of the European Union has decided to impose new sanctions against companies in the Ukrainian territory of Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Russia in March.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on Thursday, before the official start of an EU summit in Brussels, the European Union will impose further sanctions in connection with the continuing illegal occupation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by Russia.

According to the report, the new restrictions of the Brussels will affect not only the tourism and investment in the economy of the peninsula, but also include a ban on trading in energy and a number of other Crimean goods.
