Belarus cannot satisfy the demand of population for currency.

The Prime Minister Mikhail Miasnikovich stated that. According to him, Belarus is not ready to satisfy people's demand for foreign currency in cash and have never been ready to do it, "Interfax" reports.

“At the moment the population may either buy currency with 30% commission or give up on this idea. The country has not so much dollars, and will never have enough, to meet full foreign currency requirements”, Miasnikovich stated that in his speech for the TV channel "Belarus 1" on Sunday.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the country has "a very liberal foreign exchange market."

He recalled that only in case of settlements of imported oil, oil products, electricity and gas the commission was not charged. "Thus, power economy, deposits are protected as well as salaries and pensions", the head of the Government said.
