Tsmoki Minsk grab second win in VTB United League

BC Tsmoki Minsk claimed their second victory in VTB United League this season.

Igor Grishchuk's men fought hard to outplay Astana Kazakshtan 85-84 on the road. The visitors built a healthy lead in the first quarter, but gave it away in the final quarter allowing the rivals to take the lead 84-83. Minsk fought back to pick up a huge win on the road thanks to Branko Mirkovic's two free throws with three seconds left on the clock. Mirkovic ended up with 15 points, while Ivan Maras was the best scorer for the Dragons on the night with a total of 18 points.

Before the Belarusian champions won just one of their first 10 games. They celebrated their first victory of the season against BC Enisey 94-88 on 16 November.

Despite the victory Tsmoki Minsk remain 16th in the table. The Dragons are back in action on 23 December as they visit CSKA Moscow.
