Tax officers found a way to check quantity of sole traders’ shelf stock (Photo)

In Pinsk sole traders are obliged to fill in special blanks.

Tax inspection is sending around notifications to sole traders, who are asked to state trade margin for goods since July 1, 2014 until the present period, and the volume of goods imported from Russia over the same period. Besides, they are interested with the quantity of goods bought in Belarus. charter97.org has been informed about that by the chairman of “Perspektiva” public association, Anatoly Shumchanka.

“Such things should be of advisory nature. There are other regulation concerning actions of sole traders regarding record-keeping and revenues. It happens so that the authorities ask entrepreneurs to provide this information in written form, then they are going to compare this income with the information offered to them over this period, and to compare with the stock-in-trade and its value. That is, if you have sold goods for Br 60 mln, and you have provided information about stock in trade for goods with a value of Br 50 mln, they can say you have defrauded the revenue. That’s the objective of these actions,” he explained.

The businessman also notes that until January 12 the government should receive proposals from ministries and agencies concerning sales of shelf stock after January 1, 2015. As before, “Perspektiva” insists that shelf stock should be sold without any time limits.

We remind that at the moment small and big businessmen are under a huge pressure from the authorities both at the level of law-makers, and also due to the economic crisis Belarus is coming through.
