Poland’s Senate ratified agreement between EU and Ukraine

The Senate of Poland has ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

A statement about that has been made by the deputy head of the presidential administration Valeriy Chaly on his Facebook page. “Just now the Senate of Poland in the presence of the Ukrainian delegation has ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. 100% voted in favour of it,” he wrote.

On November 28 deputies of the Polish Sejm ratified Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, UNIAN writes.

Ukraine and the EU have signed the political part of the Association Agreement on March 21, and postponed signing its economic part, which includes the provision on creation of a free trade zone, until a new president of Ukraine is elected. After Petro Poroshenko was elected as a president, he signed the European Union Association Agreement in full on June 27.

For today the Association Agreement has been already ratified by 9 EU member states: Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Malta, Estonia, Sweden, Hungary.
