Ukraine recalls ambassador from Russia

Ukraine has recalled its ambassador to the Russian Federation for consultations.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry says:
“In connection with the situation in Crimea and the necessity of discussing some of its international aspects, the Ukrainian side is recalling its ambassador to the Russian Federation, Volodymyr Yelchenko.”
The Russian Federation recalled its ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov to Moscow for consultations on February 23, RBC reports.
“Due to the escalation of the situation in Ukraine and the need for a comprehensive analysis of the situation, a decision has been made to recall Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ukraine Zurabov to Moscow for consultations,” the Russian MFA said.
