Kwasniewski: Europe should refuse to use Russian fuel

Europe should move towards energy independence.

This statement was made by former Polish president Aleksander Kwasniewski, gazeta.ua writes with a link to Gazeta Wyborcza. The step, as the Polish politician thinks, will allow to minimise Russia's influence on European processes, because the Russian government now uses oil and gas as weapons.

If Europe is able to stop using fuel from Russia, it will make Russian business and political circles feel uncomfortable and will make it easier to talk. Kwasniewski stressed the Olympic Games gave Russia a chance to demonstrate its new face, but the annexation of Crimea showed the old face.
