Minsk Dinamo fan detained for three days for football chant “Glory to Ukraine!”

During the football match Shakhtyor – Dinamo Minsk held in Salihorsk on April 11, an incident between fans and riot policemen took place.

In the middle of the first half chanting “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!” started. Riot policemen immediately responded to that, they drew additional forces to the sector and expressed their negative attitude to these words. Then the incident seemed to be over, but as belultras.by has learnt today, it was just an impression.

After the game riot policemen seized one of the fans who started chanting. Several fans of Minsk Dinamo stood to defend him. And finally, three participants of this incident were taken to the police department, and two protocols were drawn up: for hooliganism and resisting arrest. The person who started the chant “Glory to Ukraine! – Glory to heroes!” were sentenced to 3 days of arrest and 3.5 mln fine. Other participants of the incident face fines of at least 3 mln.
