Jarmoshyna considers Crimean “referendum” to be legitimate

Although no one invited Belarusian CEC’s observers to the referendum in Crimea.

The chairwoman of the Central Electoral Commission Lidzija Jarmoshyna considers the Crimean referendum to be legitimate as she claimed in an interview to CTV.

“From the point of view whether it is legitimate, from the point of view of the freedom of expression of the will – it absolutely, 100% is, which could been with a naked eye! No extras for no money can play such a euphoria, such an encouragement that we are seeing at least on TV!” – Jarmoshyna claimed.

Although she immediately corrected herself, having remembered that Crimea is a part of independent Ukraine:

“From the point of view of corresponding to the Ukrainian Constitution, it is, probably, not, because no country would set a bomb for itself, which is the possibility to separate. The USSR did and this all took place in 1991! One should come out of the actual events that took place. This is what the head of the state said too: de facto the annexation of the territory took place”, - Jarmoshyna claimed.

Lukashenka is trying to balance between Russia and Ukraine on the issue of recognition/non-recognition of the “referendum” in Crimea. But literally on 4 April at a meeting with the governor of Kaluga region Anatoliy Artamonov Lukashenka confessed that he did not make a single step without agreeing it with Moscow.
