Russian militants intend to study the organization of combat preparations of Belarusian soldiers.
On Monday a delegation arrived from the Russian Federation, headed by the commander of the airborne troops of the Russian Federation colonel general Vladimir Shamanov, totake part in festive events on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus of the Nazi occupants, the press-service of the country’s Defense Ministry reports.
According to the press-office, on the first day of the visit the head of the Russian delegation met the Minister of Defense lieutenant-general Jury Zhadobin.
“In the course of six days the delegation headed by the colonel general Shamanov will visit the 103th and 38th separate mobile guardian brigades as well as the 5th special operations brigade, where he will study the organization of combat preparations, the living and service conditions of the soldiers”, - the statement reads.
On 3 July the members of the Russian delegation will take part in the festive events on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus, says the statement.
“At the end of the trip the Russian militants will visit the memorial complex “Brest Fortress the Hero”, where they will lay flowers to the Eternal Flame memorial – the monument to commemorate the defenders of the Brest fortress”, - the statement highlights.
