The ruler comments on the replacement of Belneftekhim's head.
He made a statement today at a meeting with the new chairman of the concern, Ihar Liashenka, and head of his administration Andrei Kabiakou, BelTA reports.
“I'd like to hear what is going on at Belneftekhim today, what the situation is,” Lukashenka said. “There's no chairman now for the reasons you know. But it's his problem [of the former chairman]. I warned everyone that there would be no forgiveness for those who behave dishonestly and try to use the public pocket without putting anything there. It is well known to people.”
The ruler showed interest in the performance of the companies affiliated with Belneftekhim's, the personnel situation and especially the potential of top managers. Lukashenka recalled that products of the group's companies account for a significant share of Belarus's GDP. “It is a powerful organisation. That is why I am concerned about the work of the concern, though its companies have all conditions for work,” he noted.
Andrei Kabiakou said Belneftekhim was fulfilling the major economic targets. According to him, the concern's profitability was 13.5% with a target of 9.8% for 2014. The ratio between the finished goods inventory and the average monthly output is slightly above 21% with a target of 24%. At the same time, the concern has not reached the export target. The company's export in the first half of the year was 99% as against the same period last year, although the target was 102.6%.
