There are no International Red Cross representatives in the trucks.
The trucks with Russian “humanitarian aid” have started moving into Ukraine’s Izvarino border control point without an approval from the Ukrainian side. A source within Ukrainian authorities shared the information with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
“The column has started moving on its own initiative, without the approval from the Ukrainian side and without an International Red Cross escort”, - the agency’s interlocutor said.
The source noted that the Russian trucks were moving into Izvarino border crossing point (Luhansk region), which is not under the control of the Ukraine authorities.
Reuters reports with a reference to eyewitnesses that about 20 trucks have crossed Ukraine’s border, accompanied by a small number of gunmen. Earlier they were located in the neutral territory.
Earlier on Friday it came out that a column of 34 KamAZ trucks with humanitarian aid for Ukraine’s east has crossed Ukraine’s border – the trucks hid behind the fence of Ukrainian Izvarino customs control point.
At Ukraine’s State Border Control Service they did not confirm the information at first.
