Belarus continues importing banned goods to Russia

Russia is concerned about deliveries of banned products from Belarus.

The neighbouring countries haven't reached an agreement on the reexport during five months of the embargo that is profitable for Belarusian companies. Only the strengthened control of goods can prevent bringing banned products to Russia, gazeta.ru reports.

According to Russia's agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor, European trucks cross the Russian border with Belarusian phytosanitary certificates. They use fake documents to bring products from Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria to Russia. Rosselkhoznadzor revealed 58 cases of using forged phytosanitary documents.

Russia imposed sanctions on products from the western countries which introduced sanctions against the Russian Federation.
