Lukashenka offers to write “Belarusian PayPal”

The dictator gave advice to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

In his view, Belarus has enough experts able to write and create their own system of non-cash payments. Aliaksandr Lukashenka has stated it today, introducing a new Head of the National Bank to the upper house of Parliament, AFN reports.

He recommended to go beyond traditional payment systems.

"You know people who control them. We must apply the most advantageous and secure payment options for our country. Therefore you should look for, and try different payment systems. We have specialists to develop appropriate programs ", Lukashenka instructed.

"We need to expand the use of non-cash payments. They may benefit all parties involved: citizens, producers, business sphere. This is the only way to make the system popular", he said. -Today we have a highly educated and active population particularly as it concerned young people: everyone has smartphones, tablets and other gadgets. People are ready for banking innovation. You should implement advanced technologies and develop Internet-banking".

"At the same time, you should remember of numerous defrauders in this sphere. It should be put under a strict control", Lukashenka said.
