Economy of Belarus continues its weakening.

Over 10 months GDP of Belarus decreased by 3.9% as compared to the same period last year. In monetary terms, GDP amounted to BYR716.525 trillion, AFN reports referring to Belstat data.

In January GDP declined by 0.4%, by 0.6% in January-February, 2.1% in January-March, 2.6% in January-April, 3.0% in January-May, 3.3% in January-June, 4.0% in January-July (3.5% taking into account the seasonal smoothing), 3.5% in January-August, and 3.7% in January-September.

As reported, the drop of industrial production amounted to 7.1% in the reporting period.

Investments to fixed assets amounted to BYR163.643 trillion, which is 14.1% less than in the corresponding period of the previous year. BYR89.620 trillion of the sum mentioned accrues to construction and installation works (including equipment installation) (minus 8.0% against the previous year). Costs for new machinery, equipment, and vehicles are only BYR55.066 trillion, which is 25.1% less than in January-October 2014.

In the accounting period, 4302.6 thous. m² of housing were set in operation that is 0.7% more than in the corresponding period in 2014.
