Carl Bildt: Expect fighting to intensify next few days

Sweden's Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs warns that "closing down midnight Saturday could be tricky".

Expect fighting to intensify next few days in Donbas. Carl Bildt, Sweden's Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, wrote on Twitter, gordonua.com reports.

"Ceasefire agreement in Minsk most welcome. But expect fighting to intensify next few days. Closing down midnight Saturday could be tricky".

It should be reminded that in Minsk 16-hours' negotiations in Norman format were completed. After the meeting, the leaders of Ukraine, France, Russia and Germany adopted a declaration which reaffirmed the sovereignty and integrity of Ukraine. They also approved a package of measures to implement Minsk Agreements, adopted and signed in Minsk on 12 February.
