Miasnikovich proposes replacing Belarusian sewers with Bangladeshi ones

The former prime minister proposes new “breathtaking” ideas on how to improve the economic situation in the country.

Mikhail Miasnikovich worked four years as the country's prime minister. It seems unlikely that many Belarusians agree that the country saw the economic and industrial growth, let alone the growth of real incomes, BelTA reports.

The chairman of the “council of the republic” said recently he was shocked by the catastrophic situation at Gomselmash plant. But it would be right to ask what he did as prime minister when the plant was dying.

The veteran of the Belarusian politics has a new post now. The work is not very hard and he doesn't have many tasks in the “parliament”. So, he has time to give important advice to help the Belarusian economy revive.

He said at a meeting to discus the issue of boosting Belarusian exports to Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka: “We could launch licensed production of many Belarusian goods in the region. It pertains to India in a lesser degree but for the other three states it would be quite an acceptable option.”

He added that Belarusian manufacturers of footwear and knitwear paid a special visit to Bangladesh. “As Bellegprom said, the production of European goods costs $15-20 per item, while the product is then sold per €100,” Miasnikovich noted.
