Parubiy: Mariupol is hard nut for Putin

He will try to break to Crimea through Volnovakha, bypassing Mariupol.

Andriy Parubiy, the first vice speaker of the Ukrainian parliament and former secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, thinks terrorists will not make attempts to attack Mariupol. He said it in an interview with Glavkom.

“Mariupol is protected rather well. I think if they try to launch an offensive, they will bypass Mariupol instead of attacking it,” Parubiy noted.

Terrorists may try to break to Crimea through Volnovakha, according to him.

Parubiy says Russia's main task in the war is to capture Donetsk and Luhansk regions and its second task is to form a land corridor to Crimea.

“These are their plans. But I am deeply convinced that they cannot be fulfilled,” the former secretary of the National Security and Defence Council stressed.
