Now one needs even to pay tax on money borrowed from a neighbor.

Since January 1 income tax includes not only money of salary, but also of borrowed one. For example, if you borrowed money from your neighbor or foreign friend, Vechernij Grodno reports.

Innovation will primarily affect the people who when filling out an income-tax return and property declaration tell that they have borrowed money to buy an apartment or a car. At that, the IOU may be formed even five years ago.

Incomes from foreign organizations and businessmen were assigned to the same credits and loans. The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus of Hrodna region said that the exception was the situation when a close relative, trustee or a person under trusteeship acted like a loaner. By the way, the tax can be returned after meeting the debt. To do this, you need to write an application and bring a tax inspector the document that confirms repayment of a loan. New loan agreement to redeem the current debt is not considered such a document.

Newspapers will prove that work has been done

Since January 1 tax inspectors will not prove whether a businessman has worked or had fun to bring him to pay taxes. Ads in newspapers will do it.

Since this year the Tax Code has another notion: "carrying out activities of payer". For example, if an entrepreneur has published an ad in a newspaper and on the Internet on rendering services or took an order, it shall be considered that this month he has been working and is obliged to pay a single tax.

Single tax rose to 20 per cent

A single tax rate for individual entrepreneurs in Hrodna region has increased by an average of 15-20 per cent. Such decision was passed by the Regional Council of Deputies on January 20. The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus of Hrodna region informs about amendments to a number of activities as well as new size of single tax rates. For example, Hrodna dwellers selling food products and clothes in the market will pay Br730 and Br700 thousand per month respectively instead of Br600 thousand.

Old rates are still valid. New ones will come into force after the official publication of the decision of the Regional Council on the National Legal Internet Portal.
