Homel dwellers about Lukashenka's holidays: He has holidays at our expense amid crisis!

Lukashenka spends his holidays in Sochi. Can he go to a resort when the country is hit by a severe economic crisis?

A BelaPAN correspondent asked what Homel residents think about it.

“Is our president legitimate at all? If he is legitimate, he cannot do it. This is unacceptable. Other heads of state are always with people in emergency situations and crises. He was elected for this. Being an ordinary citizen, I have right for holidays now. But the legitimate head of state doesn't have this right.”

“If he has money, why shouldn't he go?”

“As I understand, he has meetings when he visits a resort. He doesn't only enjoy his holiday, he performs some tasks. As far as I understand, he will meet with Putin and a governor in Sochi. We are always in crisis. You don't know how to choose the right time for holidays. We don't know when to go on holiday and when the president should go on holiday. He is not 25. He is 61. Look at him at the beginning of his presidential term and now: he is strong and heavily built.”

“Actually, he went there to meet with Putin, because there's a big problem. He wants to ask for money. I think he cannot go on holiday now, because he must solve problems in the country. We have enough of them.”

“They don't do anything. They only go on holiday at our expense.”

“Of course he can if he is a rich man.”
