Bulgaria to relax visa rules for Belarus, some CIS states

Bulgaria plans to simplify tourist visa application rules for Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Georgia.

The decision has been taken by Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov and Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova.

Changes will envisage the issuance of one-year two-time or multi-time visas with the purpose of organized tourism for people who received Bulgarian visas before. Property owners in Bulgaria will also have the same opportunity.

“The relaxation of visa requirements is one of the measures to stop the reduction of the number of early bookings from the abovementioned countries,” the Foreign Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry of Bulgaria has already sent the relevant instructions to the diplomatic and consulate offices in the aforesaid states.
