IMF approved $17 billion financial aid to Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund has decided to allocate money for Ukraine under Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.

Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

According to IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde's statement, she was glad to announce that the IMF executive board of directors approved the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement with Ukraine today which is worth SDR 12.35 billion (around $17.5 billion or EUR 15.5 billion).

This is a four year $17.5 billion program.

It is known that Ukraine expects to receive immediate $5 billion disbursement from the International Monetary Fund.
