Lukashenka proposes to distribute residual stock

The dictator met with Expobel entrepreneurs.

After that, he and officials headed to a conference room for a business asset selected by his Administration, Radio Svaboda reports. The meeting will be held there.

One of the participants of informal conversation told that Lukashenka walked between pavilions, stopped in front of Belarusian knitwear then assessed the pavilion with imported goods. There he also had a conversation with individual entrepreneurs (IEs) dissatisfied with mandatory certification and dim prospects to sell goods imported prior to the signing of the Decree No. 222 and subjected to selling before March 1.

Lukashenka immediately began his attack saying that entrepreneurs "burst all Belarusian light industry" by selling cheap imported goods. Besides, he added that IEs let him several times down with this residual stock. He says he gave chances to sell goods out, changing the time of Decree's entry into force, but nobody wanted to take advantage of it.

People objected as it was not so easy to sell goods that time. They heard as follows:

"Oh, well, you are not poor people, and then take and distribute the goods remained unsold".

Lukashenka stated that in any case they would have to work under new conditions with a full set of documents.

It should be reminded that IEs protest against Decree No. 222 on obligatory certification of light industry goods. The Decree bans to sell residual stock with no accompanying documents. Traders argue that it is impossible to obtain certificates in the RF.
