When food riots of workers are to start in Belarus?

The leader of the REP Trade Union Henadz Fyadynich told a target="_blank" href=http://gazetaby.com/cont/art.php?sn_nid=92062>Salidarnasts whether workers of Belarusian plants are ready for food riots or they are to give a round of applause at a meeting with Lukashenka, like marker traders of Expobel did.

According to the data of the Belarusian Statistics Committee, in January about 60,000 Belarusians had unpaid leaves. Over the year the number of employees who had been moved to a shorter working week, has grown almost twofold.

– This trend is to continue, – predicts the head of the REP trade union Henadz Fyadynich. – The official statistics does not reflect the entire picture. These are just the first blossoms, just a beginning. We have not seen the statistics of February and March.

The interlocutor notes that at production units that are working, workers’ wages have dropped from 500 to 300-350 dollars.

– Over the entire period of Lukashenka’s rule plants and factories had never been idle to such extend, – the trade union leader stressed.

As said by Henadz Fyadynich, sentiments of workers are not sunny now, but the pivotal point after which people are to take to the streets in protest, has not been reached yet.
