European Commission allocates EUR 250 mln for Ukraine

The European Commission has allocated a final tranche of EUR 250 million within the framework of its macro-financial aid for Ukraine totaling EUR 610 million, according to astatement by the European Commission released on Tuesday.

"The European Commission, on behalf of the EU, has disbursed the last tranche of EUR 250 million from its macro-financial assistance (MFA) program for Ukraine, and a loan of EUR 10 million from its macro-financial assistance program for Georgia," the EC said in the statement.

In 2014, the European Commission provided Ukraine with macro-financial assistance worth a total of EUR 1 billion.
