Mogilevtransmash halts work until April 15

Its workers are “on leave” since March 23.

Charter97.org website has been informed about that by a reader, an employee of Mogilevtransmash, a welder with a labour experience of 28 years.

“I was forced to take a leave and work two thirds of the time. And on Friday evening a foreman called me and said that we won’t work until April 13,” he wrote.

The personnel department of the plant refused to comment on the situation.

We remind that the first complaints about slowdown of enterprises in Mahilyou started to arrive before March 8. For today workers of many plants all over the country regularly inform about problems. Thus, recently many enterprises are moved to a shortened week, or make workers apply for unpaid leaves. Thus, in early March the editorial office of charter97.org received complaints from such enterprises as Gomselmash, Asipovichy plant of automobile units, Svetlahorsk plant of concrete products, Babrujsk plant of tractor parts and units, Mogilevtransmash, Strommashina, MTZ, Gomeldrev, Minsk Bearing plant, the Belarusian Railway, Vitebskiye produkty company and others.
