Employees of Mozyr branch of OAO Polesiestroy are concerned about rumors that they will be paid with meat products.

Employees informed praca-by.info, they had seen an order that required managers to ensure the payment of salaries with meat products and to conclude contracts for supply of meat from agroindustrial complexes.

"The management has already reduced a significant part of employees. Many of them are sent on an unpaid leave, wages are cut or held back. Employees are outraged that the management offers to pay salary with meat. Wages are not so high to buy meat. In order to make ends meet they replace meat with poultry or fish", employees say.

The chief engineer of OAO Polesyestroi Anatol Babak said such rumors had it, but no measures had yet been taken on the matter.

"A month ago the Director General returned from a meeting in the Regional Executive Committee and said about the proposal. But there have been no directives. The matter is that we have had many non-payments. Last year Br70 billion were owed to the enterprise. The main non-payer - agricultural enterprises, we built farms for them. Perhaps, at a meeting it was proposed to organize something like barter in case agricultural enterprises could not sell production. We have a lot of construction enterprises in Brahin, Zhytkavichy, Petryau, Yelsk, Khoiniki. Our construction enterprises working directly with agroindustrial complex have used this method. It is beneficial - fresh food at lower prices. But there was no document, order or ruling on the occasion", the employer's representative assured.

Uladzimir Slavashevich, the director of SUP PMK-105 Mozyr, one of the branches of OAO Polesiestroi, also confirmed the information.

"Information is wrong. It is not a replacement of wages, but supplement to them. It is some kind of bonus for those worked a month without medical leave, complaints or unjustified absence. This is an additional measure of stimulation – a food set in the amount of two basic units. They earned wages, received bonuses, but, for example, someone was sick and someone was not, someone had an unpaid leave. One who has worked a month with due diligence will receive", Uladzimir Slavashevich said.
