Lukashenka fears a social upheaval

The dictator fears workers will take the streets.

"We cannot allow social tension in society and at workplaces", he stated in his residence on May 14.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka ordered the government to do everything both possible and impossible to keep qualified staff at places, BelTA reports.

"The subject is urgent, it affects interests of many people, as well as stability of society and the State", the ruler said. He notes he is reported about alarming trends in the sphere. "The number of population employed is reducing, as well as part-time employment", Lukashenka stated.

The ruler reminded the present, and especially the government, of the priority objective: "No matter how hard it will be, you must keep qualified staff at places. Therefore, you must do everything both possible and impossible". Lukashenka demanded an objective assessment of the current situation. He was informed about the nature of problems, reasons which prevent their resolution, and, above all, about the measures to be taken to ensure stability of employment and the labor market.

A monitoring group engaged in study of the situation in the regions. The meeting presented a vision of causes of negative phenomena.

Opening the meeting, the ruler asked speakers to keep to the subject. "It is necessary to reveal the true nature of ongoing processes and to develop measures for emergency response", Aliaksandr Lukashenka demanded.

"We cannot allow social tension in society and at workplaces. This is the most important task of the government and local authorities. And it's not about the tension in society. It is about the right for everyone to work and the ability to get a job to support a family", he stressed.
