1.5 thousand Belarusians live "beyond their income"

In January-March Belarusian tax authorities found out more than 1.5 thousand citizens "living beyond their income".

Sviatlana Shauchenka, Deputy Head of Taxation of Natural Persons of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, have told about it during the today's online-conference on Belsat website.

"In the first quarter of 2015 1521 natural persons were caught in law violations of income and property declaration. It is 1.8 times more than for the same period last year (849), Sviatlana Shauchenka noted. - The budget additionally received Br10.7 billion. This is 2.7 times more compared to the same period in 2014".

The representative of the MTD emphasizes that only those who received written request of the text authorities are subject to provide income and property declaration. Such claims are directed to those who, according to the Ministry of Taxation, live beyond their income, that is, do not receive income from official sources or receive them in small amounts, but at the same time buy expensive real estate, vehicles, perform other financial transactions.
