Belarus blocks the transit of liquid gas to Ukraine

The authorities of Belarus have blocked the transit of liquid gas to Ukraine.

Polish media reports with reference to a representative of Klaipedos Nafta, Radio Racyja reports.

Minsk denied the transit of gas from a Lithuanian sea terminal. Klaipedos Nafta states that Belarus has failed to agree to transit gas through its territory.

"Both we and Ukraine are interested in it. There are opportunities for such transit, but they were refused," Indre Milinene, press-secretary of the Lithianian firm says.

Marek Butko, Freedom and Democracy Fund, believes that the Kremlin dictated the decision, and what is more, it became known that Russia would grant Belarus another credit.

- Lukashenka tries to get as much as possible of the situation with Ukraine. We are informed about Belarusian trucks exporting coal from the Donbas, in other words, they steal it as the Russians do. Now it turns out that Lukashenka wants to make a good hand of energy blockade of Ukraine and has not agreed to transit Lithuanian liquid gas to Ukraine, he stated.

Marek Butko notes that Aliaksandr Lukashenka is to obtain the credit of $760 million from Vladimir Putin for energy blockade of Ukraine.
