Poroshenko: Record large number of Russian troops deployed along Ukraine border

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko told Channel 1+1 on Sunday night that there is information available that a record large number of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are deployed along the border with Ukraine.

"We've got information that there is a record large number of the armed forces of the Russian federation along with the border of Ukraine. And this information is not only from our own intelligence sources, we've got confirmation from NATO, the United States and the EU countries. We've got information about possible major directions of attacks, regularly carry out command-and-staff exercises… We will protect the country, as today our army is completely different than a year ago," the president said.
